Archives of the district Twente

in the town Delden

The archives in Delden was established in 1993 by the History society "Schoutambt Delden" and the Foundation for the conservation of Delden.

The documentation centre has data on all municipalities in Twente and the neighbouring municipalities in Salland and the Achterhoek.

Available in the archives:

"All books including data about marriages, baptizing, burial and members until 1811 including an index.
"Indices on the civil acts from 1811 - 1932 and marriage acts of Twente on microfiche.
"Census of residents from 1748 - 1795 and the registries of residents around 1830.
"Registries of "last name acceptance" of 1811.
"The justice archives of Kedingen on microfiche.
"Information about the notarial archives from 1811 - 1912.
"Marke books in book form and on microfiche.

The book data contains:

- a great deal of inventory and registers about houses, churches and institutions.
- Resource books about Twente and the separate municipalities.

many genealogies
A large number of year books and periodicals of Historical societies in Twente.

During the opening hours, 2 attendants are present, who can offer assistance during the search, if required

The data found can be copied right away. Microfiches can be printed on A4 format.

An extensive catalogue is also present are elaborated catalogues and an index for the available DTB books. (Death, Wedding and Birth books) In the sub pages you can find information about these. For a small fee, these catalogues can be copied. It is also possible to make copies of a book with the most common Latin words and abbreviations.
