Search request: how does it work?
Frequently the volunteers at the archives get the request to search for information about something, for payment.
BEFORE YOU READ ON WE REQUEST YOU TO READ THE EXPLANATION
1. Search engine request
You look up your surname via the search engine.
2. General request (period from 1670-1811)
First you provide us with the information about the person you are looking for,
A. baptismal records
We then will try to find the information you require in all the books we have available at the archives.
3. Registry office (period from 1811 and later)
You tell us which document you require a copy of. Please mention the number of the document,
4. Way of payment / procedure
You can send us an e-mail with a request to find information for you.
Therefore we have started a new service on a trial basis: you have a request, we'll find out for you.
If we don't find the answer(s), there will be no costs involved for you. For more information, read point 4.
This service contains three options, which are:
Behind every result, you will see the church book and the page number
(where you can find this surname)
When you send us an e-mail with the church book and the page number,
we will make you a copy and send it to you.
for example his last known address and what kind of information you
are looking for exactly. You can choose from:
B. marriage records
C. death certificate records
D. parents of this person
the municipality and the date of the document.
On our site you can find all the data the archives has in its possession.
(these are mainly the marriage documents of our province Overijssel = eastern part of the Netherlands).
If our volunteers find this piece of information, we will tell you so by e-mail.
In this e-mail we will also ask you to pay the correct amount of money in
advance on account number: 31.33.47.522 on behalf of the Twents Streekarchief.
Please also state your name, address and residence. As soon as we receive your payment,
we will send you the documents.
The costs of the search request are 5 euros per request.
